Guidelines

Voting begins, Sunday, January 28st. 10 AM EST

Before the Shabbaton

In order to qualify for a nomination, leaders must meet 3 out of 6 of the following requirements 
    • Prepared for local CTeen events for a minimum of 15 hours since September, 2023

    • Participated in the Mitzvah Ambassadors initiative

    • Been a leader for at least one year

    • Attended at least two regional events or shabbatons

    • Attended or registered for at least one CTeen Summer program or Leadership Training Day

  • By December 20th - Interested nominees must receive a recommendation from their Rabbi, Rebbetzin, or chapter director. Fill out recommendations at cteenawards.com/rec.

  • On January 7th - Qualifying nominees will be notified by email. They have 24 hours to accept the nomination.

  • By January 14th - Leaders who have accepted their nomination must submit a 30-60 second video highlighting their leadership accomplishments and impact to leadership@cteencentral.com.

  • Once the video is submitted and reviewed, CTeen HQ will upload videos to the website.

  • January 28st at 10 AM EST - Voting will take place via Instagram. Measures will be taken to ensure that only one vote can be entered per person.

  • Friends, family, and community can vote for a leader. One vote per category per person.

  • January 28st at 11:59pm EST - Online voting ends.

  • International Shabbaton participants will vote for their choice of the top 3 nominees.

During the Shabbaton

  • Teens will receive voting tokens and instructions with their Shabbaton registration badges.

  • Shluchim, teens, and chaperones will vote at the entrance to the closing ceremony.

  • Measures will be taken to ensure that all voting happens fairly. 

  • The choice award voting boxes will be weighed at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
